Jacob Walter Boudreau

I am of the belief that science and creativity are in a codependent relationship. Whenever I took an English or Creative Writing class, people would remark on me being "the more scientifically minded" one of the group. I tend to bristle at these kinds of distinctions. Largely for that reason, I tend not to think of myself as "of two separate worlds" when it comes to my creative life and my academic life. I think the two are inextricably linked. I have experience writing things for which I have gained the slightest recognition (albeit from one of my favorite writers alive today). Additionally, I am engaged in scientific inquiry and am endlessly fascinated by the social and human sciences--particularly those that have to do with language.
